Loans
Our library offers a wide range of materials for all age groups, including books, audiobooks, DVDs and magazines, as well as digital options such as eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines.
You can explore these options through our online catalogue.
If an item is lost or damaged, a replacement fee will apply.

Loan periods
- Four weeks for all items
- Up to 30 items at a time
- Up to 10 physical items at a time for reciprocal members
You can borrow or return items at any library in the Bega Valley Shire.
(Parents and carers are responsible for what their children borrow, including eResources.)
Renewing items
You can renew items twice, as long as they haven’t been reserved. Library items can be renewed in these ways:
- Log in to your member portal.
- Call us on 02 6499 2127.
- Visit any of our libraries and let us know which items you wish to renew.
Reserving items
If an item you want is currently on loan or at another location, you can reserve it through our online catalogue, in person at any of our libraries or over the phone. We’ll send the reserved item to the library of your choice and let you know when it’s ready for you to pick up.
Interlibrary loans
Looking for a book not in our collection? We can request it from other NSW public libraries for a small non-refundable fee. Additional fees apply for items loaned from non-public or interstate libraries.

Have a suggestion for something new to add to our collection? Let us know by submitting an online purchase request or pick up a form from any of our libraries.
