Below are some resources, some online, some hardcopy, to help you find appropriate materials to use with Here 2 Help clients. The list is only a beginning. If you find something useful please send the details to Carol Holden so it can be added. You may need to adapt the materials to local content.

• Skillswise BBC Teach: Skillswise. A collection of free videos and downloadable worksheets to help adult learners improve reading, writing and numeracy skills. UK based.

• Be Connected: Huge array of free online courses from being online to using Gov services.

• Putting Pen to Paper:  Writing Workbook by Sinead Hawkins. (Hardcopy) This was made for people in Ireland so you need to adapt place names. Substitute local ones and some cultural features need adapting too.

• Moneysmart: Moneysmart is a Federal Government website, brought to you by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), the corporate, markets, financial services and consumer credit regulator in Australia.

• Moneysmart teaching resources

• Home School Maths: Great for counting money, work sheets, number worksheets and games and activities.

• Times Tables: Good for tables and worksheets.

• Learning Chocolate: An online vocabulary builder for beginner level.

• IELTS Preparation: The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to help you work, study or migrate to a country where English is the native language. This includes countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and USA. 

• SBS Learn English: Improve your English language skills with free lessons that help you practise English and learn about Australia at the same time.

• Learn English - ABC: Learn English is a free service by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), providing digital content to help anyone learning English as a second language (ESL). Whether you are a beginner or more advanced student of English, our articles, video and audio content will make learning English fun and engaging! Includes grammar, vocab, spelling, listening resources, live chats, video course and more!

• Learn English Videos - ABC: Learn English is a free service by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), providing digital content to help anyone learning English as a second language (ESL). Great videos to make learning English fun and engaging! Different categories from grammar to learning tips, from vocabulary to English in Australia. 'Everyday English' and 'Study English 1, 2 and 3' are excellent videos complete with transcripts.

• ESL Literacy Readers: A collection of 40 theme-based readers with seven levels that increase in difficulty.  American spellings.

• Grammar in Levels:  Learn grammar for your level.
