After-hours bookings
Our Tura Marrang Library and Bermagui Library cater for room hire for events held outside library hours. Keys for after-hours access are to be collected during library opening hours.
Bermagui Library is closed on Wednesdays. If you make a room booking on this day, please arrange key collection 1–2 days in advance.
What you need to know
Fees and charges
Charges apply for all advance room bookings and prices vary according to the type and length of booking. See the Bega Valley Shire Council’s current fees and charges schedule (pages 21–24 and 29–30).
Payment is required at the time of booking. Refunds are only available for cancellations made at least 48 hours before the booked time.
Room capacity
The stated room capacity of the room must not be exceeded at any time.
Public liability insurance
If you’re a business, community association or incorporated group, you’re required to have public liability insurance with a minimum $20 million coverage. Please email a copy of your certificate at the time of booking. Tutoring is considered a commercial activity, so you’ll need to provide proof of insurance at the time of booking.
If you regularly hire a meeting room, please email your renewed certificate of currency each year.
Unbooked rooms
If a room has not been booked and paid for, it will be available for general use, with the door remaining open for community access.
