Autumn at the library

We are running a variety of events for all ages this Autumn and plenty of activites in the school holidays. Events for adults and children, with author talks, crafts, and workshops. To celebrate the Seniors Festival, we have interviews with Citizen of the Year recipients and a road safety workshop. Tathra Tales is a special history event with local speakers and photographic images of the past. Come and join us this Autumn!

Jane Gordon - Children’s Author

Jane Gordon is a local children’s author and has just published her second book in her Charley series ‘Charley meets a new friend’.  Each book covers something new in the life of a small echidna called Charley and teaches the reader about life as a native animal.

In Charley’s world humans are the ones to be careful of and he and his native animal friends call them the 'two-legged strangers.’ Roads are in-between where they live and where they need to go and are therefore considered the ‘In-Betweens,’ and cars have very bright lights and are thought of as ‘Bright-Eyes,’ that are very dangerous.

Free event, ages-up to 8 years, bookings required.

She is a primary school teacher, art teacher and environmentalist. “Tree-squeak: The Old Growth Gum” is inspired by the old growth eucalypts of our native forests, and the abundance of creatures that call them home.
