Did you know that 43% of our population does not have the literacy skills to cope with everyday life?
Here 2 Help is a collaboration between TAFE NSW Bega and the Bega Valley Shire Library. The drop-in service offers one-on-one tuition with volunteers in whatever literacy and numeracy needs people have.
Hele2Help will run every Thursday in school terms from 3.30pm to 5pm at Bega Library; and
every Wednesday in school terms from 3:30pm to 5pm at Tura Marrang Library.
What to expect
Volunteer tutors work one on one with the client to reach an identified goal. There is no enrolment or assessments, just help with whatever the client wants. Clients are encouraged to bring in documents for whatever they want help with, but we also have resources at the library.

Here 2 Help is looking for more volunteer tutors to get involved.
To be a tutor you will need: -
- Good levels of literacy and numeracy skills
- Current Working With Children Check.
- Patience and ability to connect with learners
- Be available on Thursdays from 3.30pm to 5.00pm.
- Training and resources will be supplied.
