If you’re unable to visit your local library, you may qualify for our free Library Link service.
You can choose books and other library materials for yourself and your family through our online catalogue, and we’ll deliver them to your home or a nearby hub location if needed.
Who is Eligible for this Service?
You can receive this service if you live in the Bega Valley Shire and:
- you’re unable to visit our library because of ongoing health, disability or mobility challenges
- you’re temporarily housebound due to illness or a medical procedure
- you live alone and don’t have ready access to public transport.
How does Library Link work?
Choose your items through our online catalogue. Or we can talk with you about your interests and preferred library material. We’ll deliver your items to your home
or a nearby hub location. You can choose fiction and non-fiction books, audiobooks, DVDs or magazines from our collections.
We may not be able to deliver to all addresses within the Bega Valley Shire, but we can arrange for you to pick up items from your nearest hub location. Hubs are post offices or businesses that are designated drop-off and pick-up points.

We deliver on a four-week schedule. We’ll discuss the best delivery days and times with you.
Who will deliver my library items?
Library staff or a library volunteer will deliver your items. They will wear a library badge and let you know when to expect a delivery.
Will you pick up the items when I’ve finished with them?
Yes. Library staff or a library volunteer will also pick up the items.
How long can I use this service?
You can use Library Link for as long as you have a genuine need for the service.
