Whether your book club meets in person or online, Bega Valley Shire Library’s new Book Club Sets make it effortless for you to source multiple copies of the same title and to borrow them all in one easy box!

Each set includes 6 to 10 copies of the same book as well as printed discussion notes and links to related websites. The sets are free to borrow for six weeks with library membership.

You can view and reserve the kits via the library catalogue. We aim to expand our Book Club Sets with a range of genres according to demand and we’d love to hear from local book clubs and reading groups interested in using this service.  You can view the current titles in the book club sets via the link below:

• Julia’s Book Club, within A Podcast of One’s Own – Julia Gillard, once Prime Minister of Australia, talks monthly with author Kathy Lette, and award-winning poet, editor and critic, Sarah Holland-Batt, together presenting an engaging and lively conversations which explore a variety of genres. • Better Reading Stories Behind the Stories – Cheryl Akle interviews authors about their books, their lives, and what inspires their writing. Available to listen for free on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Words of Music is a fun, free and relaxing program for all ages! Each month take home and read a great book specially selected for the program. We then come together to discuss our likes, dislikes and interests about what we have just read. Don’t worry if you don’t finish the book, just come for the entertainment and morning tea.
